Gender Based Violence Workshop

Women in Communities (WICO) held a Gender Based Violence workshop at the City of Gweru theatre.
The workshop was aimed at creating a platform whereby employers and employees recognise the need for awareness on Gender Based Violence.
The Director of WICO Mrs Rebecca Chirenga encouraged both employees and employers to report any Gender Based Violence that may occur in the workplace.
“The motto that this workshop is running by is STOP Gender Based Violence in the workplace (Break the Silence).
Inter Departmental Gender Committee members and other council employees who were in attendance had the opportunity to interract on the way forward on issues concerning Gender Based Violence.
