Harare City Council gave 1000 disposable surgical masks and 30 protective suits to the City of Gweru on the 2nd of June to help fight against the deadly pandemic. The donation was handed over to the Mayor of Gweru Cllr J. Makombe who thanked the City of Harare for their generous hand and ensured that they were greatly appreciated. “The 1000 surgical masks and suits will help the City of Gweru’s health department when they are conducting contact tracing or visiting travellers who are suspected of having COVID-19.” He also commended the efforts that were done by the City of Harare in order to strengthen the bond between the two cities. “I am pleased to know that the City of Gweru has a good relationship with other cities and I am also pleased by the City of Harare’s commitment towards ensuring a good relationship with other municipalities across the country.”
