City Expansion

Gweru, the core of Midlands Province, has welcomed the continuous expansion in residential areas . The living settlements of Gweru such as Tatenda Park, Little Eden, Hertfordshire have been on an increase in terms of building structures and inhabitants. The original plan of the expansion was to meet the City’s population growth. Population increased hence the city expanded to accommodate all the residents. This measure has been aimed to promote the city’s responsiveness in facilitating the increase in population growth as well a mechanism to manage the population. Efforts in providing quality services all across the city have been noted and Council has engaged three land developers to service the new residental areas.
The city being a nodal point that promotes free entry and exit to its neighbouring towns and cities into the province has become the central growth of the province hence effectively fulfilling the needs of the current residents and newly located ones in the new living settlements.
